BIO

Fanny Malicet is born in 1999 in Suresnes (92), France
She resides and works in Paris, France

Fanny Malicet creates figurative oil paintings exploring heritage, memory and spirituality.

Her work is deeply personal, rooted in her interest in transgenerational patterns and the ways our family histories shape who we are. She questions what is passed down from one generation to the next, consciously or unconsciously: beliefs, fears, behaviours, wounds, but also strengths. Through painting, she explores how we can recognise these inherited patterns and choose what we wish to carry forward.

The human figure is central to her work. She explores the contradictions within herself: doubt and hope, pain and joy, darkness and light. Her practice is closely connected to her own therapeutic journey, while her search extends beyond her personal history, towards questions of spirituality, faith and our place in the universe.

After studying at business school, Fanny spent several years working in the corporate world. During this time, she began questioning the direction of her life and what truly mattered to her. In 2024, she decided to leave her career behind and devote herself fully to painting.
